The terms and conditions below, which are updated from time to time, apply to your use and continuing use of PetsGetSlim.co.uk ("the Website") at all times. Should you not wish to abide by any of the terms stated, then you should discontinue using the Website. The Website is owned and operated by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ("RSPCA" or "we", "us" or "our") in furtherance of the objectives and policies of the Society.

1. Pet Profiles
  1. In order to fully use and contribute to the Website and to receive all the benefits which it can offer, you must create your own "Pet Profile" account. This will require you to select a user name and password and provide us with some personal details about yourself and your pet. You do not have to provide us with this information, but you will not be able to access and use all sections of the Website if you do not.
  2. All the information that you provide should be accurate and complete at all times. Your Pet Profile account may be suspended by us with immediate effect if the information on it is not accurate and complete. You must be over eighteen years of age in order to use the Website or have your parent or guardian use it for you, on your behalf.
  3. You will be responsible for all activities which occur under your Pet Profile account and you should take all reasonable steps to protect the integrity of it. Please advise the RSPCA as soon as possible in the event that your account or password is compromised. The RSPCA cannot accept liability for any losses or damage you suffer as a result of your failure to comply with this clause
2. Intellectual Property
  1. You may only post photographs on the Website which are your own or which you have permission to use. By posting photographs on the Website you agree to granting the RSPCA a non-exclusive perpetual licence to use the photographs in connection with the Website.
  2. The copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the Website including the RSPCA trade marks are owned by the RSPCA, unless otherwise stated. The copying or use of any material on this Website without the permission of the RSPCA is prohibited.
3. Accessing the Website
  • The RSPCA will endeavour to ensure that the Website is continually available for use. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that this will be the case and regrettably therefore, cannot accept any liability arising from the unavailability of the Website.
4. Conduct
  1. Other than your personal data, any information that you post on the Website shall not be considered to be of a confidential nature and may be used by the RSPCA for any purpose connected with the Website. Please do not post on the Website if you do not wish to be bound by this condition.
  2. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the content of your submissions and you agree to submit only contributions that are your own original work. Please do not submit material which you have copied or which you do not have permission to use. The RSPCA cannot be held liable for such material.
  3. The submission of any of the following is strictly prohibited:
    1. material which is illegal, harassing, threatening, defamatory, indecent, pornographic, obscene, abusive, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, in breach of confidence, in breach of privacy or which may cause annoyance or inconvenience to other users or;
    2. material that infringes the intellectual property rights of another individual or organisation such as their patents, trade marks, copyright, trade secrets or material which you do not have permission to use;
    3. material that constitutes or encourages conduct that is criminal, gives rise to civil liability, or is otherwise contrary to the law of the UK or infringe the rights of any third party;
    4. material that constitutes any form of marketing or advertising; or
    5. material that may be technically harmful including, without limitation, computer viruses, logic bombs, Trojan horses, worms, or other malicious software or harmful data.
  4. Please be aware that infringements of clause 4.3 above may give rise to your being prosecuted or defending legal proceedings.
  5. In the event that you see any material which falls in the categories listed above then you should report this immediately to us using the "Report Inappropriate Content" link and we will endeavour to remove it from the Website as soon as possible.
6. Contributions
  1. The RSPCA reserves the right at all times, whether or not you are in breach of these Terms, to:
    1. edit, refuse to post or remove any material in whole, or in part, and/or
    2. to suspend your access to the Website;
    without further notice to you and RSPCA's decision in these matters shall be final.
  2. Please be considerate of other users of the Website, allowing them to express their views and to post material with which you may not necessarily agree.
  3. Please remember that this is a public forum and therefore the views expressed are not necessarily those of the RSPCA. We would advise you to exercise particular caution in following any advice of a veterinary nature which is posted on the site.
7. Links to and from other websites
  • The RSPCA cannot accept responsibility for the content of third party websites which are provided for convenience only. Accessing such sites is entirely at the user's own risk.
8. Warranty and Liability
  1. All warranties which would otherwise be implied by law are hereby excluded.
  2. The RSPCA shall not (subject only to the exclusion provision in paragraph 8.3) be liable to you, whether for negligence, breach of contract or otherwise, for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by you (including without limitation, direct loss or damage, indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of goodwill, loss of business opportunity, loss of data or loss of profit), arising from:
    1. any computer virus or similar technical impediments transmitted through this Site;
    2. your use or inability to use the Website at any time and any failure by us to maintain the Website;
    3. your use of and/or reliance on other websites to which you have gained access by means of hyperlinks published this Website;
    4. your reliance on the content or accuracy of any material posted by any other user of the Website; or
    5. any inaccurate information published on the Website; or
  3. Nothing in these Terms shall operate to exclude or restrict our liability for fraud, or death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
10. Jurisdiction
  • These terms and conditions shall be construed and governed by the laws of England and Wales
