The vets in my area, so a programme that is free for animals over weight you can take your dog to be weighed each week, 2 week or monthly intervals to see if they are losing weight they will also give you some advice, i changed my dogs food to a weight control food which keeps the dog more full for longer, my dog is also a cross dalmation and still has more weight to lose. The nurse at the vets should give you some advice.
